Dr. Kayla Karpuk, a skilled resident optometrist for Vance Thompson Vision in Sioux Falls, SD, specializes in glaucoma and refractive surgery co-management. A Sioux City, IA native, Dr. Karpuk attended Coe College in Cedar Rapids, IA for her undergraduate degree, going on to graduate with honors from the Illinois College of Optometry. Dr. Karpuk is very passionate about helping the underserved. She does so by participating in free vision screenings throughout the greater Chicago, IL area to underprivileged youth in the Chicago Public School System. She also participated in a mission trip to Guatemala through the Fellowship of Christian Optometrists.

July of 2017, Dr. Karpuk began a residency in anterior segment disease, glaucoma, and refractive surgery co-management with Drs. Thompson, Wallin, Rasmussen, Schweitzer, Schmit, and Ibach at Vance Thompson Vision.
Hobbies & Personal Interests
In her spare time, Dr. Karpuk enjoys spending time her husband, Tanner, and their nieces and nephews.
